we’d all be in a constant state of collapse every time we opened a newspaper.

033aside from experimenting with gluten-free chocolate caramel brownies, pants and I went to a couple of open houses today, just to see what’s out there. our sweet little house is just a transition space for us, not a long-term option.  aside from not loving the neighborhood, the house is just not big enough.  well, it’s ok for the 4 of us, but it’s never just the 4 of us here! 119and i know this is totally a first world problem, but this place has the smallest, oldest kitchen in america, and NO DISHWASHER! and I cook CONSTANTLY.  i just can’t take the mountain of dishes anymore. so we shall see…
meanwhile…I am loving how our bed looks, kind of French/shabby chic-inspired:423these little side shelves are so cute! i had pants cut a board in half and we just used some cheap-o brackets to hold up these adorable lamps.  and this cozy pink blanket?  CHANGED MY LIFE.  sooo soft, pants doesn’t even care that it’s baby doll pink.

and here’s a quick peek at our fireplace area at the moment:

  1. are you sure you have to move? your place is looking so good. I love all that you have done. I am excited to end my two year spending hiatus. We all need pretty things.
